The D.A.S.G. is a registered charity (number 1105525). We are a voluntary group, parent led, run by a management committee, many of whom are the parents or carers of people with Autism Spectrum Conditions.
The organisation is friendly, warm and caring and provides support, advice and information. We lobby on education, welfare, health and social issues which affect people with Autism Spectrum Conditions.
Within the group there is a wide range of skill and expertise which is invaluable to carers and professionals alike.
Members come from all areas of the county, and from a variety of backgrounds.
Fund raising events are organised and speakers invited, but most of all there is a willingness to listen, support and help those connected with Autism Spectrum Condition. Social outings take place where all the families can get together. The Derbyshire Autism Services group (D.A.S.G.) provides services in a variety of ways including support group meetings, advice and information, family events, social skills events, and sitting and befriending services. There is a telephone support network for those unable to attend support group meetings.
If you care for someone who is within the autism spectrum, you are not alone - more than 80,000 people in Britain have Autism Spectrum Condition. We are here to help.
