Group Aims

  • To assist the carers of people with autism & disabilities
  • To raise awareness of autism and the problems and constraints individuals and their families encounter
  • To provide support, information and guidance to enable people with autism and their carers to maximize their opportunities and potential

We are direct service providers through a Children in Need grant to 20 children & young people mainly in the Amber Valley area. This service can be home or community based, its purpose is to provide activity & stimulation and the advancement of self –help skills to young people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions and other disabilities. This project also gives parents/cares a break.

Flexible 1:1 & Group Activities

Contracts with Derbyshire County Council provide services in Chesterfield, Bolsover, and North East, Erewash, Southern Derbyshire & Derbyshire Dales. Providing 1:1 work with individuals up to the age of 18 and in some cases 25yrs of age, these contracts include individual programmes tailor made to the persons interests & needs. We also provide “Group Activities” to stimulate social contact, inclusion and social interaction, through to “Away Days” which take our children & young people on trips to interesting places.

We hold two small NHS grants that help us provide for a small number of people in High Peak & Southern Derbyshire.

We also receive donations from Trusts & Companies which help support these services.

Adults are catered for through a grant from Derbyshire County Council where advice, information and support is provided to anyone living in Derbyshire County Council area’s . We also run two Adult Social Skills groups each month, and have several small programmes which have been possible thanks to fundraising & donations.
